Looks like a really cool project . I assume that whole back wall opens to get the plane inside.   I had the opportunity to fly in a B-17 about ten years ago and that was unreal.

Doc is one of 2 flying B-29s so hopefully it won’t actually spend a massive amount of time cooped up in this hangar.

Yep, that’s a huge three piece fabric “mega door”, the center section is 32' tall to clear the vertical stabilizer.

It’ll o nly be in the hangar   during weekdays and over the winter for maintenance.
